Career vs family

What do you say if you were asked in an interview to choose between career and family? Its a toughie... But my answer instantly would be family. For me, nothing comes before family. Many might say that I would be a stupid to put career before family, but for me the latter is more important than the former. That would be one of the reasons I wouldn't choose a career where I would have to settle down abroad India. I want my parents to be with me after my father retires from his job. I need to be in India. So, I'm choosing a career path which would keep me working in India. I totally agree that ultimately a man is recognized for his achievements in his career rather than social life. I just wouldn't want to choose a career which would be so demanding that my social life would be overshadowed by my work. A man could only be happy if his family life is good. If a person devoid of social life would achieve something extraordinary, he couldn't be happy if he doesn't have someone to share his happiness with. I strongly believe in the above line of thought. Finally, I understood what life is all about - happiness. Stay happy and make others happy.
